3. Terms and Definitions

This standard uses the following terms and definitions.

3.1 Neon Lamp tube neontube

Low-pressure cold-cathode glow discharge lamp whose glass tube is straight or bent

3.2 Tubular cold cathode discharge lamp tubular cold cathode discharge lamp

A discharge tube in which the cathode may be coated with an electron-emitting material and which, during start-up, emits electrons by field emission without external heating. These lamps are filled with a low pressure inert gas (or a mixture of several inert gases) and possibly mercury vapor. The inner wall of the lamp tube can be coated with fluorescent material.

3.3 independent transformer independent transformer

A transformer consisting of one or several separate parts that can be independently installed on the Neon Lamp device without any additional housing. It may also be a built-in transformer installed in a suitable enclosure which shall provide all the protection required as marked.

3.4 built-in transformer built-intransformer

A transformer specially designed to be installed in a box, an enclosure, etc., consisting of one or several independent components.

3.5 Short-circuit proof transformer short-circuit proof transformer

A transformer whose temperature rise does not exceed the specified limit value when the transformer is overloaded or short-circuited, and still maintains a fully functioning transformer after the overload is eliminated.

3.6 Inherently short-circuit proof transformer inherently short-circuit proof transformer

A short-circuit-resistant transformer. When it is overloaded or short-circuited, the temperature will not exceed the specified limit value without a protective device, and it can continue to work after the overload or short-circuit is eliminated.

3.7 No-load rated output voltage no-loadrated output voltage

The maximum voltage across the output winding terminals of a transformer, with the transformer connected to the rated supply voltage at rated frequency, without load on the output line. Its value is the peak value divided by √2.

3.8 high power factor transformer highpowerfactortransformer

When connected to an effective load at rated input voltage and rated frequency, its total power factor shall be at least O at 50Hz or 60Hz respectively. 85 or O. 9 transformers.

3.9 Neon Lamp project installation neonlampinstallation

Professional installers will fix the Neon Lamp device in place and perform correct combination, connection, debugging, etc. in combination with the specific environmental conditions of the user, so as to realize the complete activities of its intended function.

3.10 Neon Lamp tube insulation installation rack

A component that enables the Neon Lamp tube to be firmly fixed or supported on the installation surface of the Neon Lamp device. The part in contact with the lamp tube should be made of insulating material.

3.11 Professional installation personnel qualifiedinstallationperson

Personnel who have certain Neon Lamp basic knowledge, technical experience and Neon Lamp installation qualification certificates, and are authorized to complete Neon Lamp installation tasks in a safe manner.

3.12 User user

Individuals, families or social groups who use Neon Lamp products and accept Neon Lamp installation services.

3.13 installation life servicelifeofinstallation

The period that a qualified Neon Lamp should reach through correct installation and normal use by users is generally in "years".

3.14Neon Lamp installation surface installation surface

Support and fix the force-bearing surface of the Neon Lamp tube, which can be graphics, fonts, and plates made of metal or other non-combustible materials.

3.15 Neon Lamp device installation surface installation surface

Support and fix the force-bearing surface of the Neon Lamp device on the building components.

3.16 Class A converter or frequency converter (Class A electronic transformer) classA-invertororconvertor(classA-transformer)

The frequency range is within 20kHz ~ 50kHz, the no-load rated output voltage (peak value) between its output terminals and between them and ground does not exceed 5000V, and the maximum output current is 35mA (effective value) and 50mA (peak value). Working converter or frequency converter, the power supply voltage is 50Hz or 60Hz and does not exceed 250V AC voltage or 250V DC voltage.

3.17 Class B converter or frequency converter (Class B electronic transformer) classB-invertor0rconvertor (classB-transformer)

The no-load output voltage to ground does not exceed 5000V, the no-load rated voltage between its terminals does not exceed 10000V, and the maximum output current is 200mA (effective value) and 400mA (peak value) within the frequency range of 10kHz to 100kHz. Inverter or frequency converter, the power supply voltage is 50Hz or 60Hz not exceeding 250V AC voltage or 250V DC voltage.
